Deviant Moon Tarot explores the dark side of the subconscious with haunting surreal imagery. Like a standard tarot deck, the suits are normal-Cups, Wands, Swords, Pentacles. The cards themselves are long and narrow with white borders. But from there on out this deck definitely departs from anything you could call normal. Stylized moon-faced characters, created from manipulated photographs of 18th century tombstones are set against evocative backgrounds. Surreal masks, machine-being melds and shadows which are reminiscent of dreams or nightmares. Many of the images simply can't be translated into words.
