The Rider-Waite Tarot Deck is a classic deck, the most popular deck in the English-speaking world.

The images on the cards were drawn by Pamela Coleman smith, under the instruction of A.E. Waite, and it was originally published by the Rider company in 1909. The authors of the deck drew upon the symbolism of famous 19th century occultist Eliphias Levi to create a deck with richly layered images.
