Biography
Migene Gonzalez-Wippler is a cultural anthropologist with degrees from the University of Puerto Rica and Columbia University. A distinguished scholar on the subject of mysticism and primitive religions, Ms. Gonzalez-Wippler has written five other books on Santeria, including The Santeria Experience, Rituals and Spells of Santeria and Powers of the Orisha which have been published by Original Publications. She is also the author of more that a dozen other books on related topics, many of which are considered classics on their respective fields and have been translated into several languages. She lectures frequently for colleges and other cultural and educational institutions throughout the United States and her works are often used as supplementary textbooks in many American and European universities.
