Geri and Freki, the wolves at Odin's side, also glowered on the throne of the Anglo-Saxon kings. Wolf-warriors, like Geri and Freki, were not mere animals but mythical beings: as Odin's followers they bodied forth his might, and so did wolf-warriors.

 The Wolf Pendant is also a symbol of the Norse Warriors like the Berserkers mentioned in the VatnsdÅ“la saga, Haraldskvæði and the Völsunga saga.  They were said to wear the pelt of a wolf when they entered battle.
